The Annual Dam Safety Conference 2026 will take place from October 21–23, 2026, in Mwanza, Tanzania. Organized by the Ministry of Water (MOW), the Tanzania Chamber of Mines (TCM), and City Engineering Co. Ltd. (CECL), this conference promises to be a landmark gathering for professionals in dam safety and registered engineers with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB). It will provide valuable insights into environmental protection and water resource management.

The 2026 ADSC event will foster knowledge sharing, promote best practices, and advance innovative solutions in dam safety. Around the theme, “ Managing Critical Infrastructures for Dam Safety,” reflects the critical role that water and Tailings dams play in water resource management and mining operations. The knowledge sharing will be from design to the decommissioning stage (Life Cycle Management of water and tailings dams)—ensuring the structural integrity of dams while simultaneously safeguarding vital environmental resources.
